“Time After Time” seeks to combine two areas: printmaking techniques and the challenges of these last months, in which, confined to our homes, we opened to our personal space.

In the last few years there has been a revival of interest in printmaking, which has included the invention of new techniques while pushing technical and visual boundaries, resulting in new, independent expressions in this area. What was once seen as a medium secondary to painting and drawing or even as an outdated technique, is viewed today as another alternative artistic technique. The definition of printmaking in the 21st century challenges, expands, and opens up the imagination.

Recent events have challenged artists and still challenge the art world. Artmaking has undergone changes: artists work from their homes, homes have become studios, thus influencing the art being produced. What happens to the artist who is shut within four walls? What happens to his expression? How has this influenced us and still influences us?

In our exhibit we will try to bridge these two areas: the home environment and its place in art alongside the world of printmaking.
