The Muslala Group
launch of the new outdoor art track of the Muslala project
An outdoor art trail featuring artworks that engage with practical applications of ecology as well as different aspects of public art. The trail emerged from the desire to connect the world of practical ecology to the public space in a creative, interesting, and aesthetic way as an organic part of the street, making practical ecology more accessible to the public.
Artists: Shmulik Twig, Shlomi Mir, Omer Ackerman and Boaz Balachsan Permaculture group led by Barack Ben-Hanan, Matan Israeli Daphna Yalon and more.
The Muslala Terrace: An Urban Oasis
Muslala is a nonprofit organization established in 2009 by artists, residents, and community activists of Musrara neighborhood in Jerusalem. Muslala Project invites visitors to explore and research mainly along the seam area of Jerusalem. We believe in exhibiting art on the streets and in public spaces, particularly in the fascinating and complex area where East meets West. The project invites the public to participate in activities that take place throughout the year, such as the "urban art tracks", the Muslala community workshop, the communal garden, and the meeting point. Guided tours by members of the group are available and adapted to groups and individuals.
