Ann sasson is a figurative artist that exhibit internationally as well as in Isarel – including solo shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town, London, Berlin, and Maine USA. I have work in public collections in London, Israel and South Africa.
The paintings on this exhibition are about social and political performance, people attempting to approach each other, the theatrical gestures used by people on the political stage.
Ann does drawings from YouTube, and from life, and use photographic references. she has been quite influenced by the stencil graffiti found around Jerusalem, especially in the past.
Ann works on reflecting something of the varied cultures in which she lives in her work, and to discover a general sense of the moment for herself, through painting, and to convey it.
