The term “Synesthesia” means a blending of the senses: Synesthesia is a rare neurological condition in which two or more of the senses entwine; a phenomenon in which stimulation of one sense evokes an involuntary reaction of another sense. This is the experience offered in the project Jerusalem Synesthesia, which combines paintings by Elizabeta Zaidner with a site-specific sound installation by Max Epstein. Colors and sounds meld with one another in the gallery space to form a total installation that follows the principles of musical modes to create a spatial composition of shapes, colors, and sounds
