The exhibition “East Meets East” summons a powerful and unmediated encounter with Ugandan contemporary visual art. The exhibition features 14 Ugandan artists working with a variety of media. This is an opportunity for a firsthand experience of the booming East African art scene while undermining Western perceptions and expectations. “East Meets East” is a collaboration of The New Gallery with CoCuDi Center, curated by Robinah Nansubuga, an up-and-coming curatorial voice in East Africa.
