Leopard Moth

Opening: 27.10.21 at 19:00 - Closing: 25.12.21

Artist: Nadav Oren
Curator: Matan Israeli

The warm winter allowed the larvae of the leopard moth to reproduce without interruption and gnaw at the core of the fruit trees on the balcony. At the time of writing this text, it is not yet clear how many of the damaged trees will survive.

The need to create a new type of tree that is well adapted to roofs is the starting point from which the artist began to create his “Roof Trees.” The new Roof Trees are lightweight, immune to parasites, and built over an artificial frame – adapted to life in an age of climate change.

The Muslala Terrace: An Urban Oasis

Muslala is a nonprofit organization established in 2009 by artists, residents, and community activists of Musrara neighborhood in Jerusalem. Muslala Project invites visitors to explore and research mainly along the seam area of Jerusalem. We believe in exhibiting art on the streets and in public spaces, particularly in the fascinating and complex area where East meets West. The project invites the public to participate in activities that take place throughout the year, such as the "urban art tracks", the Muslala community workshop, the communal garden, and the meeting point. Guided tours by members of the group are available and adapted to groups and individuals.
