In his landscape and still-life paintings, Meir Appelfeld strives to find his place between the concrete and the intangible: absorb the hints of the visible world, while keeping true to his internal vision. The works created in this process manifest the relations formed between these two poles, which could also be interpreted as the by-products of one another.
