The night of the shift from digital to analog will be dedicated to hip hop, which combines the musical past through soulful samples while galloping towards the future, with the latest studio innovations out there.
The night will open and close with the Jerusalemite Hype crew. The group that carries the banner of promoting hip hop culture in Jerus will start with a dj set of drill, trap, grime, and of course hip hop, alongside unforgettable freestyle rap featuring local rappers and breakdancers.
The main show presents writer-performer Sima Nun, who became one of the hottest names on the scene with the release of her successful debut album “Talk Already”, which features collaborations with the most interesting names in Israeli hip-hop: Shekel, Michael Swissa, and Ravid Plotnik. A powerful performer that sets the stage on fire, speaks her mind without holding back, and offers irreverent hip-hop with a heart. Thanks to her skill for combining funk, rap and rock, her sound is unapologetically unique and distinct. On the stage of CONVERTER, she will perform the hits from her debut album and new songs from her second album, due to drop in the next couple of months.
Sima Nun will feature J. Lamotta, an intriguing producer and musician who already released two successful mini albums, another album in 2021 with Japanese producer BudaMunk, and her song “If You Wanna” was even chosen for the soundtrack of the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot. After touring Berlin and Japan, she is now here with us, writing and singing in Hebrew too, and performing in the top festivals in Israel.
Sima Nun and J. Lamotta will step out of the screen and jump into the mixer, diving into one another’s tracks. Trust us, you’ll wanna to see this fresh combo.

The time has come to go back, to shift from the digital world to the analog world. To sail among countless chance musical moments and clear and measured technological moments. Back to the future.
The social world is moving towards, or perhaps reverting to, fragmentation into communities. Anyone can join a virtual community and find their place in it, while in real life, we hardly every meet anyone around us.
As its name suggests, The Mixer allows us to connect and reorganize the things that matter most, as we would like to see them happen. This year in Jerusalem, with its many communities and identities, with the hottest local music and freshest international music we’ll try to translate what is happening online to the real world, connect between remote connections and personal connections and bring artists together their audience.
The Mixer will guide us through the ins and outs of electronic music with all the possible transformers towards pitches of soul music to red-hot local cassette music. In the hope that we will leave the online virtual community for a human encounter of the closest kind.
