In this exhibition, artist duo Yael Ruhman and Simon Krantz wish to respond to the unique surroundings of The New Gallery – Artists’ Studios Teddy (located beneath the bleachers of Teddy Stadium). Ruhman and Krantz’s works usually incorporate sculpture, architecture, and mechanics. In this instance, the site-specific works the two set up inside and outside the gallery offer alternatives to materials and architectural details in the space and its surroundings. The exhibition brings to the fore questions surrounding the tension that exists between high and popular culture, as it is manifested in the New Gallery in the Teddy Stadium complex
