Artist:
Mira Hermoni –Levin
Curator:
Meira Perry Lehmann
Mira Hermoni-Levine’s dark oil paintings feature objects from the depths of the artist’s imagination, without a human figure to breathe a raison d’etre in them, much like 17th-century Dutch vanitas paintings. “I’m sure they feast at night,” she says. “At dawn, when the sun is not quite out yet, the ball ends…and so they re-enter the canvas as if they never left it.”
