The materials in Hamutal Bar Cohen’s exhibition were on their way to be thrown into the trash before they became real works and were collected into an exhibition. Bar Cohen works as a restorator-artist and so are her methods of working: the beginning of the artistic action is in the selection of the object, usually a casual object; continued by treatment of the material through restorative techniques and other kinds of laborious actions at the end of which the object transforms into a work of art.
