Nasrin Abu Baker returns to the family photo album, and corresponds with her family’s personal biography, as a tribute to her parents who worked for years as a seamstress and as a repairman, marked in Israeli society as “blue collar” professions, employing many members of minorities. Out of a desire to examine her own affinity with the working class in relation to the field of art, Abu Baker turns the identification between ethnicity and class into a cultural marker, associated with social and economic periphery.
