Elad Larom's work consists of various artistic forms, including painting – for which he dedicates most of his time – video, computer animation and  photography. Through these multiple artistic measures Larom shows his interest and inspiration received from the field of modern art using a contemporary and interdisciplinary approach.

In his works Larom strives to implement the power of disclosing a world of exclusive characters, scenes and places of ‘low culture’, folklore and everyday life. He attempts to dramatize this disclosure by emphasizing moments and sights that belong to magical and sometimes even spiritual situations.

Larom's paintings, for example, bring his audience to mind cinematic tales, in a similar way to his video works which are seen as a sequence of images as if coming out of a painting. These works seek to rediscover the possibility of painting that is loaded with the power and themes of another, metaphysical world.

In 2006 Larom graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Holland and in 2010 he received his MFA degree from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Larom has presented his work in various exhibitions in Europe and North America, which among others include Tento#2 at the W139 Amsterdam, Bezalel on Tour¨MICA¨ Corcoran Gallery Maltz Museum, Kunstlerhaus FRISE in Hamburg, and many more.

His recent solo exhibitions include: I, Walid Lacham which was presented at the New and Bad Gallery in Haifa in 2013, as well as a painting installation which was presented at the Fresh Paint Art Fair in Tel Aviv in 2012.

Larom has received a number of grants, including a special award from the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem and another from the Nederlands Fonds for his artistic work on films.

Currently Larom lives and works in Tel Aviv.
