At the exhibition “Bliss”, artists Ayelet Carmi and Meirav Heimann continue their years-long collaboration and together they create a parallel world, both alien and familiar, where dystopia meets utopian imagination. The exhibition includes the video work “Zahara” (2021) and the premiere screening of the large-scale work “Bliss” (2023–2025), along with objects and props that were used in the making of these and are part of the visual language of the project.

In the gardens of Ticho House, two new images, created specifically for the light boxes at the front of the building, will be displayed, alongside a three-screen video work that connects the elements exhibited inside Ticho House and outside. The exhibition also features a selection of drawings and prints by Anna Ticho, which create a subtle echo between the past and the present.

Through traditional painting and sculptural objects, Ayelet Carmi creates  feminine figures, hybrid creatures, and emotionally charged machines that reflect a preoccupation with metamorphosis and mythology. Her work seeks to expand the boundaries of Western realism and weave it into a fictional, poetic, and sometimes disturbing world.

Meirav Heimann operates in the fields of photography and video, and through them she examines the gaps between the ideal and the real, the virtual and the personal. Her works exhibit a rich visual language that includes stylized props, grotesque elements, humor, and estrangement.

The fruitful collaboration between the two has led to the creation of video works, exhibitions, and monumental projects – the central one being “Israel Trail” (2018). In the exhibition “Bliss,” they continue to develop their shared language, through which they address Israeli identity, femininity, the relationship to nature, and the fragility of Israeli reality.
