Drag De Paz – Musical Extravaganza
Gal De Paz with guestes: Kay Long, Celine La Divine, Christina Fox
In a time of rising waves of conservatism around the world, the show “Drag De Paz” brings a colorful and unrestrained celebration of art, movement, and expression to the Manofim Festival in Jerusalem. The performance, created specifically for the festival, examines the body as a site of extreme transformation – a bold play of identities that crosses the boundaries of gender and art. For one night, the historic Hansen House will come alive with an immersive spectacle of music, freedom, and unapologetic humor. Diva Gal de Paz and her royal friends have created an evening of musical-visual extravaganza in all the colors of the rainbow – a celebration that illustrates the liberating power of art that is not afraid to go to the edge.
For over a decade, Gal De Paz has brought a voice that leaves no one indifferent – powerful, gritty, or full of emotion, she resonates with all ends of the local spectrum. In her new album ‘Very That’, she continues a fascinating journey and turns from the worlds of rock and hip-hop directly into the depths of glam and pop. With extraordinary talent and iconic performativity, she blends gospel, soul, jazz, and pop in a way that manages to be both sophisticated and accessible, both a celebration and a statement. Recently, her deep love for the drag community has been expressed through stunning collaborations, and on the Manofim 2025 stage, she will host a cast of true royalty – three of Israel’s leading divas: Kay Long, Drag Queen of Israel for 2014, who represents Israel in world capitals as an ambassador of drag culture, standing almost two meters tall with undeniable star quality; Celine La Divine, ‘Queen of the South’ and one of the most prominent and influential drag queens in Israel, who connects authentic drag humor with community work in the periphery; and Christina Fox, the Queen of Camp and Comedy from ‘Drag Brunch’, who brings to the stage a kick-ass and hilarious drag like you’ve never seen before. Come witness a theatrical summit that will liberate the body and the reins and celebrate the freedom to be who we are, in all our color, power, and beauty.
