Festival Closing Concert – TATRAN with Strings
Saturday, 12.07.25 | 20:00 Doors open | 21:00 Show starts | Art Cube Artists’ Studios rooftop
What began with underground, remarkably precise live performances in the streets of Tel Aviv has expanded and created a devoted cult of loyal listeners. The instrumental power trio that has conquered the heights of the musical world in Israel and beyond, frequently crosses genres, with deep influences of post-rock, modern jazz, and classical music. In the closing concert of the 2025 Manofim Festival, TATRAN arrive, accompanied by a string quartet, for a turbulent exploration of the boundaries between extreme synchronous precision and the realm of free improvisation. A performance charged with imagination and emotion, in which the music weaves between pure beauty and mesmerizing unease – wordless yet rich with entire worlds.
Since their establishment in 2011, TATRAN has become one of the prominent phenomena of Israeli music on the international stage. Their debut album ‘Shvat’ received positive reviews worldwide. Over the years, international recognition grew, from drummer Dan Mayo winning the title of ‘Best New Drummer in the World’ to winning a Grammy Award in 2024 for their contribution to the music of the official ‘Star Wars’ game. The band, which recently released the album ‘Evermore’, where they collaborate for the first time with a string section, has amassed tens of thousands of followers around the world and is now coming to Jerusalem to close the Manofim Festival with a performance that is all one continuous peak.
