Triptych of Performances at the Edges of the World
Idit Mintzer and friends: Yehezkel Raz, Yossi Fine, Stav Achai, Sharon Mansur, Uriah Witztum, and Shay Hazan
Wednesday | 09.07.25 | 19:30, 20:45, 22:00 | Performance at Ticho House, Rabbi Agan 10 st., Jerusalem (near Zion Square)
An unusual musical evening will take place between the ancient stone arches of Ticho House. Three performances filled with exceptional talents will merge into three levels of emotion and space from the depths of the sea to the sky above. This musical triptych is an original production initiated by Idit Mintzer specifically for the 2025 Manofim Festival and specifically for Ticho House, and it explores the edges of the emotional spaces we share as humans – between intimacy and publicity, between loneliness and sharing, and between the depth of the soul and its resonance in physical space. The audience and musicians will move together in a historical space, creating a world-encompassing dialogue.
Mintzer, a wind instrument artist, has collaborated throughout her long career with artists from all corners of the musical spectrum, including Ehud Banai, Micha Shitrit, Chava Alberstein, Gidi Gov, Dudu Tassa, Alon Eder, and Daniela Spector. In addition, she starred as a soloist in the Jerusalem East-West Orchestra for about a decade and was a guest of honor at performances by international artists such as the German Chantel and the Moroccan Mahdi Nasouri. Mintzer and the diverse artists she has gathered in her musical journeys, including Yehezkel Raz, Yossi Fine, Stav Achai, Sharon Mansur, Uriah Witztum, and Shay Hazan, will create three internal worlds at Ticho House that will shine outward. Each act will create an ensemble with a unique sound character – from electronic meditation to Mediterranean psychedelia, colorful jazz, and the aromas of African Gnawa. This is an evening that can only happen here and now, within walls that tell the stories of people and places over generations and geographical edges.
