Festive inauguration of Bustana
A rooftop space for live encounters, creation and meaning
Join us to celebrate throughout the festival the opening of “Bustana”, the new rooftop space of the Art Cube Artists’ Studios, with boundary-breaking music performances, art exhibitions, a rooftop party, all-night karaoke, video screenings, an artistic and creative club for the whole family, a one-time opportunity to peek into the artists’ studios during an open studio event, and more.
In the heart of the Talpiot industrial area, at the urban seam between the eastern and western parts of the city, near the Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Safafa and the Jewish neighborhoods of Gonenim (Katamonim) and Mekor Chaim, we have created a new space for intercultural encounters. A space that combines art, education, sustainability, and community. A place of permanence inviting you to meet, engage, and partner with others. You are invited to join as activists, participants, in the community rooftop garden, in art workshops for the whole family, in intercultural meetings, in community initiatives, and in events focused on dialogue, learning, and language exchange.
Bustana – a rooftop space for live encounters, creativity and meaning
Our bustan (the Arabic word for garden) is a vibrant and breathing space, filled with scents, tastes, and colors, where we will grow fruit trees, seedlings, vegetables, and herb bushes. It is a physical and metaphorical garden inviting us to walk through it, observe, dare, discover, explore, and experience new realms of flavors, scents, and experiences, to expand our cultural and sensory horizons and to grow connections, ideas, dreams, and shared lives.

Twinship – Twins Guy and Neta Moses in a performative installation that will create a live, improvised audiovisual experience
Orphaned Land – The Israeli-international metal band will perform in Jerusalem after more than a decade, on a musical journey that will resonate far beyond any geographical, religious and cultural border.
