The artistic-visual research NAILS examines the place and complex meanings that gel nail culture has in Israeli society, looking at how the field influences local culture and art and is influenced by them. Gel nails are seen as a means of self-expression, protection, and empowerment, yet at the same time, nails are also a space that embodies norms of control and ideals of beauty and gender. The idea behind the project is to create a research-aesthetic space that combines works by nail artists alongside visual artists from the Israeli cultural field, to look at nails as a charged space between the private and the public body, and to explore how they become a scene of feminine power but also of cultural norms, modernity, status, and gender, and how all of this is expressed in local art and culture.

Built from open dialogue, moving between tension and calm, huddling together and softening.
The show Ura Kvodi is based on the collaboration between the musicians Oz Yehiely (bass), Omri Porat (guitar), Mark Moshayev (drums), and Lihu Baniel (flutes and ney), who work from a shared language of attentiveness and real-time creation. It was created as part of a special collaboration between the Manofim Festival and Jazz & Visuals: a Jerusalem series that connects live music, visual art, and alternative spaces for a multi-sensory and intimate experience.
